     THE FOLLOWING CLASS.

 

Thursday 5/8:

  •    Go back and review your notes for the upcoming final. Grades on the last test was ROUGH.

 

Thursday 4/17:

  • Keep a workin on your Moot Court project

 

Tuesday, 4/15:

  • Begin research on your role in Moot Court
  • Some time to work on this in class on Thursday
  • Court will actually be held on THURSDAY April 24

 

eWEEK & SPRING BREAK ASSIGNMENT:

  • Review your notes from the Legislative & Executive unit so you'll be ready for the test when you get back!!

 

Tuesday 3/25:

 

 

  • Finish your packets by Thursday. NO EXCUSES!!

Thursday 3/13:

  • Finish your packets on the Legislative Branch.
  • Be ready for a quick quiz next week over the material

 

Tuesday 3/11:

  1. Start on Congress packet. DUE NEXT TUESDAY 3/18
  2. Write your own BILL or RESOLUTION for our consideration in class. DUE THURSDAY 3/13

 

Thursday 3/6:

  • Start reading the first Congress chapter & review notes

 

Tuesday 3/4:

  • Study for Unit Test on Thursday 3/6

 

Tuesday 2/26:

  1. Keep working on your packet. It will be completed on Tuesday next week.
  2. WRITE DOWN 5 GOOD arguments supporting the use of the death penalty AND 5 opposing it. Make sure you have some good stuff to contribute on Thursday!

 

Tuesday 2/19:

  • Write a 1-2 page response to the following prompt. Yes spelling, grammar, etc. count.
    • "How safe/secure are your civil liberties/rights?

      Explain reasons for your position and provide examples as well. (Note: this is not a "right or wrong" question)

 

Tuesday 2/12:

  1. KEEP STUDYING your Consitutional Amendments...this info will be tested again later.
  2. READ the Greeley Tribune article
  3. WRITE an opinionated response to the article that you will be able to DISCUSS with the class on Thursday.

 

Thursday 2/7:

  • Continue reading Federalism chapter. BE DONE FOR TUESDAY! Quiz!
  • Study Constitutional amendments. Quiz!
  • COMPLETE your "Constitutional Amendments For Dummies" booklets & have them READY at the BEGINNING of class TUESDAY!!

 

Thursday 1/31

  • Continue working on your Amendments for Dummies booklets
    • they will be due on Thursday unless you are told otherwise by me
    • you DO NEED TO HAVE any and all work you;ve done on them IN CLASS ON TUESDAY!!

 

Tues 1/29:

  • Read Chapter 3. Quiz on Thursday

 

Thurs 1/24:

  1. Continue review of the Articles of Confederation & the Consitution, especially their differences.
  2. Get ready to DIVE INTO the Constitution on Tuesday!

 

Tues 1/15:

  1. Read pages 44-58 & be ready for discussion & Quiz on Thursday.

 

Thurs 1/10:

  1. Read Chapter 1 in text.
  2. Read the text of the Declaration of Indepencence found on pages 40-43 in text.
  3. Answer the questions that follow the Declaration on page 43.

 

Tues 1/8:

  1. Write a "Citizen's Oath" DUE 1/10
  2. Print syllabus, show to parents, have them sign Student/ Parent Contract.
  3. Bring printed syllabus to class along with SIGNED contract. DUE BY CLASS ON 1/15
