Thursday 4/17:

  • Answer discussion questions for Ch. 19 DUE TUESDAY!!!

     

  • Read Lanahan #92, 95, and 96 by Thursday 4/ 24

     

  • QUIZ over #'s 91, 92, 95, 96 on Thursday 4/ 24
  • Make sure you have finished reading ALL CHAPTERS WE'VE COVERED THUS FAR (no more new stuff) by TUESDAY (Thursday at the latest so you can move on with review stuff!

 

Tuesday 4/15:

  • Read Chapter 19 for class on Thursday
  • Write a 1 page paper on what issues are in the spotlight of this presidential campaign that deal with economic policy and foreign policy.

 

eWEEK & SPRING BREAK ASSIGNMENT:

  • Answer FULLY the questions outlined on the Policy page I handed out
  • Read over the packet I handed out. No questions.
  • READ THOROUGHLY through Ch. 17 and 18 (17 was already assigned...this is clean-up reading)

 

Tuesday 3/25:

  •  Read Dr. King's speech & form an opinion about how/if it relates to Senator Obama's speech on race. We'll discuss this on Thursday for participation points. Be ready

 

Thursday 3/13:

  •  Finish reading KTR Chapters 5 and 6. 
  • Going to get into Policy chapters next week.
  • Finish reading over the Court Case Handbook, bring me corrections/additions by Tuesday
  • Only 5 weeks of classes before the AP exam!!!

Tuesday 3/4:

  • Same assignments left from Thursday 2/28 (#1 and 3)

 

Thursday, 2/28:

  1. Discussion Questions for Chapter 5 ready to discuss on TUESDAY
  2. Court Case briefs done by TUESDAY (submit electronically)
  3. Lanahan readings & summaries due THURSDAY

 

 

Tuesday 2/ 26:

  1. Finish reading Chapter 5
  2. Keep working on the "Lanahan Pizza Project"
  3. Keep working on your Supreme Court Case Briefs (follow the specifics you got today
  • FOR EMAILING: be sure you check your inboxes to see if the school's system kicked the email back to you. if so, you need to follow the instructions to get it into my inbox & not stuck in limbo.

 

Thursday 2/21:

  1. Start reading Ch. 5
  2. Get one of your Supreme Court cases researched by Tuesday.
  3. Start working on your Lanahan readings outlined below:

              too sensitive for me to assign as a reading in class. For credit purposes, stick to these 9 options.

 

 

Tuesday 2/12:

  1. FINISH reading Chapter 9 - Bureacracy.
  2. Quiz on it this Thursday...for the reals this time!
  3. COMPLETE the reading (supplementary packet) I gave you.

 

Thursday 2/7:

  • GET READING in the Bureaucracy chapter! QUIZ on Tuesday.
  • GET YOUR HEADS IN THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE! For an AP government class, y'all are EMBARASSING!! :)

 

Thursday 1/31:

  • Start reading Chapter 9 BUREAUCRACY and we will begin that fun on Tuesday.

 

Thurs 1/10:

  1. Read Lanahan # 34 and 36 for Tuesday.
  2. Keep reading ch. 8 in Republic. More from it in class on Tuesday.

 

Tues 1/8:

  1. Review Ch. 14 (in light of the Primary Season we're in)
  2. Read Ch. 8 on The Presidency
  3. Read Lanahan # 33 "The Imperial Presidency"
